Given :-

  • Length = 16
  • Breadth = 8 cm
  • Height = 6 m

To Find :-

  • Surface area of chalk box = ?

Solution :-

  • It is given that chalk box whose length, breadth and height are 16 cm, 8 cm and 6 cm, respectively. chalk box is in the cuboidal shape. So, here we will use the formula of surface area of cuboid :]

Let Length be 'l' , Breadth be 'b' and height be 'h' .

→ Surface Area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

→ Surface Area of cuboid = 2(16 × 8 + 8 × 6 + 6 × 16)

→ Surface Area of cuboid = 2(128 + 48 + 96)

→ Surface Area of cuboid = 2(272)

Surface Area of cuboid = 544 cm²

Therefore, the surface area of a chalk box is 544 cm².
