∴ The denominator = x-4

The rational number = x/x-4

According to the question,

x+6 / x-4-5 = 5/2

x+6 / x-9 = 5/2

2(x+6) = 5(x-9)             [By cross multiplication]

2x+12 = 5x-45

45+12 = 5x-2x

57 = 3x

3x = 57

x = 57/3

x = 19

∴ The numerator of the rational number = 19

The denominator of the rational number = 19-4    or,15

The rational number = 19/15
