600m + 400m = 1000m


To find - Time taken to cross the platform

Calculation - We know,

Speed = Distance/ time

Thus, 5 = 1000/t

5t = 1000

t = 1000/5

= 200 seconds

So the time taken to cross the platform is 200 seconds or 3min 20 seconds.
