Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Figure

To find: Area of given figure.

Solution: The figure can be divided into 3 parts; 1 Rectangle and two semicircles.

1)As ABCD is a rectangle with length 15 cm and breadth 7 cm.

Area of ABCD: Length×Breadth

=15×7

=105 sq-cm

2) Area of semicircle, having BC as diameter

Area of semicircle= πr²/2

here

r= 7/2

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \\  \\  =  \frac{77}{4}  \\  \\ \bold{ Area\:of\:semicircle1= 19.25\:  {cm}^{2} }\\  \\

3) Area of semicircle, having CD as diameter

Area of semicircle= πr²/2

here

r= 15/2

=  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{15}{2}  \times  \frac{15}{2}  \\  \\  =  \frac{22 \times 225}{56}  \\  \\  \bold{ Area\:of\:semicircle2= 88.39 \:  {cm}^{2} } \\  \\

Area of figure is: Area of ABCD+Area of semicircle 1+Area of semicircle 2

 = 105 +19.25+88.39\\\\= 212.64 {cm}^{2}

Thus,

Area of given figure is 212.64 sq-cm.

Hope it helps you.
