Answer:

693 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

the area surface of sphere is 4 π r2

a hemisphere is half of sphere

therefore,

the TSA of hemisphere is 2 π r2

given that the diameter is 21 cm. The radius is half of diameter. Therefore radius is 10.5 cm.

Applying the TSA formula of hemisphere

2×22/7× (10.5)2 = 693cm2

Given : Hemisphere with diameter = 21 cm

To Find :  TSA and CSA

Solution:

Radius = Diameter / 2  = 21/2  cm

TSA = Total surface area

CSA = curved surface area

π = 22/7

TSA of hemisphere = 3πr²

= 3 (22/7) (21/2)²

= 3 (22) * (21  * 3) /4

= 33 * 63 /2

= 1039.5  cm²

CSA of hemisphere = 2πr²

= 2 (22/7) (21/2)²

= 2 (22) * (21  * 3) /4

=11 * 63

= 693  cm²
