1.Water plants absorb carbon dioxide from water and give out more oxygen which thereby increases the rate of O2 dissolved in it and thus providing fishes with a better environment and keeps them healthy.

2.Water plants also detoxify the water and provide more nitrogen to fishes.

3.Some plants are also a source of food for fishes thus providing them a source of nutrition also.

4.Fishes loves the environment covered with plants and greenery, water plants are also good for them to provide them a source to live in their natural habitat .

this happens because of the oxygen content. when there are water plants in the aquarium they release oxygen so they can survive for more time. but when there are no plants in the aquarium the oxygen content is less there so the fish may have less life span.
