Find the total surface area (in cm2 ) of a hemisphere of diameter 42 cm.

We know,

Radius = Diameter / 2

= 42 cm / 2

= 21 cm

Surface Area (of a sphere) = 4*π*r^2

Hence, surface area (of a hemisphere) = 1/2 [ 4*π*r^2 ]

T.S.A (Total Surface Area) = 1/2 [ 4 * 22/7 * 21 ]

= 1/2 [ 264 ] cm^2

= 132 cm^2
