Find the total surface area of a building whose dimensions are 30m,20m, and 40m. The walls , floor and the roof of this building are to be repaired the contractor asks for ₹.40 per square metre. What will be the estimate of the contractor for this work

b = 20m

h = 40m


Total surface area = 2(lb+bh+hl)


=2(30*20+20*40+40*30)

=2(600+800+1200)

=2*2600

=5200m^2


Cost of repairing the walls, floor and roof for 1m^2= Rs 40

Cost of repairing the walls, floor and roof for 5200m^2


=5200*40

= Rd 20800
