Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Outside cylinder radius = 5cm

Height of outside and Inside cylinder = 12cm

Inside cylinder radius = 5cm-2cm

= 3cm

Cylinders are open at both end so we use curved surface are of a cylinder

2\pi rh

CSA Of Outside Cylinder = 2×22/7×5×12

=

 \frac{2640}{7}  {cm}^{2}

CSA Of Inside Cylinder = 2×22/7×3×12

=

 \frac{1584}{7}  {cm}^{2}

CSA of the hollow cylinder = CSA of outside cylinder - CSA of inside cylinder

=

 \frac{2640}{7}  -  \frac{1584}{7}

=

1166 {cm}^{2}
