we know that sum of interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360°
therefore...
100 + 40 + 80 + X =360
220 + X = 360
X = 360 - 220 = 140
also...
X + y = 180 ( linear pair )
140 + y = 180
y = 40
therefore...

but in my book answer of y is given 140
and for x?
140 is for x
then y can't b 140 bcoz x + y is 180
thats why i was confused and i asked on brainly . Its so easy question
