∴ ∠DCE + ∠ACE + ∠ACB = 180°

=> x + 90° + x = 180°

=> 2x = 180° - 90° = 90°

∴ x =\frac{90}{2} = 45°

Again, ∠ACD = ∠CAB + ∠ABC  [∵ Exterior angle = Sum of non-adjacent interior angles]

=> 90° + x = y + 55°

=> 90° + 45° = y + 55°

=> y = 90° + 45° - 55° = 80°
