The two sides other than hypotenuse are equal.
So, their opposite angles are also equal.
So angle B is equal to 40°.

Now in triangle
a + b + 40 = 180
a+ 40 + 40 = 180.
to solve it
then we get
a = 100.
and b = 40

Ans : In the figure,
Perpendicular=Base(Sides)
Therefore,b=40°(Angles opposite to equal sides)
Now,
40° +a+b=180°(Angle sum property of a triangle)
40°+a+40°=180°
a+80° =180°
a =180°-80°
a =100°
Hence, a=100° and b=40°
