Answer:

x=60°

y=120°

Step-by-step explanation:

AS

the two lines are parallel x=60°

the two sides of the triangle ate equal so x+2(180-y)=180 {the two angles can be expressed as 180-y)

therefore

2(180-y)=120°

180°-y=60°

y=120°

hey mate!

angle X + 60 degree = 180 degree ( alternate interior angles )

so, angle x = 180 - 60 = 120 degree

now lets make angle z next to angle y which is in linear pair and also there will be angle z next to 60 degree because the angles opposite to equal sides is equal.

so, angle x + angle z + angle z = 180 degree ( angles of a triangle )

so, 120 degree + 2angle z = 180 degree

so, 2angle z = 180 - 120 = 60 degree

so, angle z = 60/2 = 30 degree

now, angle z + angle y = 180 degree ( linear pair )

so, 30 degree + angle y = 180 degree

angle y = 180 - 30 = 150 degree

hope this helps you

pls mark it as brain list

thanks❤❤
