Valencies of

Oxygen - 2
Bicarbonate= 1
Magnesium = 2
Hydrogen = 1
Carbonate 2

Atomic masses

Hydrogen = 1
Bicarbonate = 62
Magnesium = 24
Oxygen = 16
Carbonate= 60

Hope it helps..

abhi178: bicarbonate HCO3 - then i think molar mass =61 g/mol
subhroneel: hmm
Anonymous: but 1 negatuce charge is there
Anonymous: - ve
abhi178: negative charge means electrons but electrons mass is comparatively small then proton or neutrons so neglect

For finding valency, write the electronic configuration of the atom, then subtract the no. of atoms present in the last shell from 8. (For, Hydrogen subtract form 2)

Valencies:-
Oxygen : 2
Silicon : 4
Bicarbonate : 3
Magnesium : 2
Carbonate : 2

Atomic Mass:-
Oxygen : 16
Silicon : 28
Bicarbonate : It have molar mass. 61.02g/mol
Magnesium : 2
Carbonate : It also have molar mass. 60.01g/mol

Hope it helps!

AbhilashaM: I forgot to mention hydrogen. It has valency, 1 and atomic mass 1
subhroneel: hmm
AbhilashaM: Also magnesium has atomic mass 24 not 2. Sorry
subhroneel: kkkk
