given

p(x)=K²x²=2kx-3

or;

K²x²-2Kx+3=0

if x-1 is factor

then X=1

hence; putting value of X in p(x)

p(1)=k²(1)²-2k(1)+3=0

k²-2k+3=0

k²-3k-k+3=0

k(k-3)-1(k-3)=0

(k-1)(k-3)=0
value of k cannot be 1 then (1)²-2(1)+3would not be 0
hence value of k=3
