Hi ,

************************************

Distributive property :

ab + ac = a( b + c )

************************************
Now ,

361 × 162 - 361 × 60 - 2 × 361

= [ 361 × 162 - 361 × 60 ] - 2 × 361

= [ 361 ( 162 - 60 ) ] - 2 × 361

= 361 × 102 - 2 × 361

= 361 ( 102 - 2 )

= 361 × 100

= 36100

I hope this helps you.

We are given some numbers with multiplication.

We are to use distributive property for finding out the operations on those numbers.

Distributive law says

a(b+c) = ab+ac and also a(b-c)  = ab-ac

The given number is

361×162-361×60-2×361

This is the right side of distributive property answer.

Hence find left side by taking common factor 361.

Given value = 361(162-60-2) = 36100.
