Given :   0.23(bar on 23) +0.32 (bar on 2)   0.\overline{23}   +   0.3\overline{2}

To find : Value

Solution:

0.23(bar on 23) +0.32 (bar on 2)

0.\overline{23}   +   0.3\overline{2}

A = 0.\overline{23}

100A  =  23.\overline{23}

100A - A = 23.\overline{23}   - 0.\overline{23}

=> 99A  = 23

=> A = 23/99

B  = 0.3\overline{2}

10B  = 3.\overline{2}

100B = 32.\overline{2}

=> 90B = 29

=> B = 29/90

A + B

= 23/99  + 29/90

= (230 + 319)/990

= 549/990

= 183/330

= 61/110

= 0.55\overline{45}

0.\overline{23}   +   0.3\overline{2}   =  0.55\overline{45}       = 61/110

Step-by-step explanation:

Given .Find the value of 0.23(bar on 23) +0.32 (bar on 2)

  • Given 0.23 bar + 0.32 bar on 2
  • We need to find the value for the given problem.
  • Let m = 0.2323
  • Multiply by 100 we get
  • 100 m = 23.2323
  • Subtracting both the equations we get
  • 99 m = 23
  • So m = 23 / 99
  • Now let n = 0.3222
  • Multiply by 10 we get
  • 10 n = 3.222
  • Multiply by 100 we get
  • 100 n = 32.22
  • Subtracting both the equations we get
  • 90 n = 29
  • Or n = 29 / 90
  • Adding both m and n we get
  • So m + n = 23 / 99 + 29 / 90
  •                = 230 + 319 / 990
  •              = 549 / 990
  •               = 183 / 330
  •             = 61 / 110
