find the value of 104^2 - 103^2

104^2-103^2

=(100+4)^2-(100+3)^2

we know,(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2*a*b

apply it here and we get

100^2+800+16-(100^2+600+9)

=100^2+800+16-100^2-600-9

cancel the 2 100^ 2 since its sign is opposite (100^2-100^2=0)

also, 800-600=200

and 16-9=7

therefore, 104^2-103^2=200+7=207
