As per the data given in the question.

In the above question, it is given that,

The given equation is 2x+3y.

Where x=-4 and y=2

We have to simplify the above equation.

Here in the question, we have to evaluate the equation by substitution method.

Thus, substitute the given value of x and y we get,

=2x+3y

Substitute X=-4 and Y=2 we get,

=2\times(-4)+3\times(2)\\=-8+6\\=-2

 Hence after solving the given equation we get the value as -2.

As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of given expression 2x+3y

As per question,

The value of "x" and "y" are given which is 4 and 2 respectively.

So, for finding the value of the given expression 2x+3y we will put the value of "x" and "y" which is given in place of "x" and "y" in above expression.

Hence, we will get the value of expression as,

2x+3y\\=>(2\times 4) + (3\times 2)\\=>8+6 \\=>14

Hence, we will get the value of the expression 2x+3y when "x" = 4 and "y" = 2 as 14.
