4(x + y) - 6 {(x  + y)}^{2}  \\  = 4x + 4y - 6( {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy) \\  = 4x + 4y - 6 {x}^{2}  + 6 {y}^{2}  + 12xy
