Solution :-

First of all we will find the value of x,

 \sf : \implies \: - 13x - 6 = 7 \\ \sf : \implies \: - 13x = 6 + 7 \\ \sf : \implies \: - x = \frac{13}{13} = 1 \\ \sf : \implies \: x = - 1 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:

Now, we will put the value of x in the given equation, and will further equate it,

 \sf : \implies \: 5 \times - 1 - 1 \\ \sf : \implies \: - 5 - 1 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ \sf : \implies \: - 6 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:

Hope that helps!

Given :

  • Find the value of (5x - 1) given that (-13x - 6 = 7)

Solution :

  • Before finding the value of (5x - 1) first we need to find the value of x in (-13x - 6 = 7).

Now,

 \\ \tt \: -13x - 6 = 7 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ \\ \\ \tt \dashrightarrow - 13x = 7 + 6 \: \:\\ \\ \\ \tt \dashrightarrow - 13x = 13 \\ \\ \\ \tt \dashrightarrow - x = \frac{13}{13} \\ \\ \\ \tt \dashrightarrow \: - x = 1 \\ \\ \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \dashrightarrow \: { \underline{ \boxed{ \mathfrak{ \pmb{ \red{x = - 1}}}}}} \: \: \bigstar \\ \\

Now, putting the value of x in (5x - 1) :

 \tt \: 5x - 1 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ \\ = \tt \: 5( - 1) - 1 \\ \\ \tt = \: - 5 - 1 \\ \\ \tt \: = { \boxed{ \mathfrak{ \pink{ -6}}}}\: \: \: \: \\ \\
