It is given that ,

xy = 7 ------( 1 )

25x - 26y = 16 ----( 2 )

Squaring on both sides of the

equation ( 2 ),

( 25x - 26y )² = 16²

( 25x )² + (26y)²-2×25x× 26y = 256

625x² + 676y² - 1300xy = 256

625x² + 676y² - 1300 × 7 = 256

625x² + 676y² - 9100 = 256

Therefore ,

625x² + 676y² = 9100 + 256

= 9356
