Find the value of a and b for the qudratic equation 5x 2-7=-6x

Answer:

5x² + 6x – 7 = 0

Comparing the quadratic equation with ax² + bx + c = 0, we get

a = 5

b = 6

c = -7

For finding roots of a quadratic equation we have 2 methods :

1) By factorisation method

2) By quadratic formula method –

x = (-b ± √D)/2a

where D = b² – 4ac
