hello users .....

we have given that :
point P ( a / 3 ,2) is the mid point of line joining points Q(-5 ,40) and R( -1 ,0)

we have to find :
value of a = ?

solution :-
we know that
for mid point (x,y)
x =  \frac{ (  x_{1}  +  x_{2} ) }{2}
and
y =  \frac{( y_{1} + y_{2})  }{2}

here,
a /3 =  {(-5) + (-1)} / 2
=> a = 3 * ( -3) = -9 answer

✫✫ hope it helps ✫✫
