Find the value of 'a' if when
a {x}^{3}  + 3 {x}^{2}  -  13 {x}^{2} \:   \: and \ \: \:  2x^{3}  - 5x + aare divided by
x + 2
leave the same remainder.​

Answer:

using remainder theorem

we get

R1=-8a+12-52

R1=8a-40

similarly

R2=-16+10

according to the question

we get

8a-40=-6

8a=34

a=34/8
