if a = 1 , then
(1)^2 + 5 * 1 - 4 = 1 + 5 - 4 = 6 - 4 = 2
if a = - 1 , then
(-1) ^ 2 + 5 * (-1) - 4 = 2 + (-5) - 4 = 2 - 5 - 4 = -3 - 4 = -7
if a = 2 , then
(2)^2 + 5*2 -4 = 4 + 10 - 4 = 14 -4 = 10
