g= GM/ R²

Given, R of moon= R of earth/4, M of moon= M of earth/ 96

g( moon )= GM/ 96 ÷ (R/4)² = GM× 16/ 96R² = GM/ 6R²

Compared to earth, g ( moon )= g/6
