Find the value of all the variables in the following figure ( x, y and z). Also state the geometrical fact you used to find them. x = 37°

y = 23°

z = 120°

z + 60° = 180° ( Co - interior angles are supplementary )

z = 180° - 60°

z = 120°

x + 143° = 180° ( Co - interior angles are supplementary )

x = 180° - 143°

x = 37°

x + y = 60° ( Alternate interior angles are equal )

37° + y = 60°

y = 60° - 37°

y = 23°

Therefore,

x = 37°

y = 23°

z = 120°

So..... angle Z is 120⁰

Angle X + 143 = 180⁰......... Interior angles

So.....angle X is 37⁰

Angle X + Angle Y = 60⁰....... Alternate Angles

37⁰ + Y = 60⁰

so.....angle Y is 23⁰
