Correct Question :-

Find the value of b² - 4ac if a = 6 , b = 7 & c = 2

a) 1

b) - 1

c) 2

d) - 2

Solution :-

Given ,

  • a ( coefficient of x² ) = 6
  • b ( coefficient of x ) = 7
  • c ( constant term ) = 2

By substituting the values of a , b & c in the given question we can have the value of - 4ac

➸ b² - 4ac

➸ 7² - 4 ( 6 ) ( 2 )

➸ 49 - 24 ( 2 )

➸ 49 - 48

- 4ac = 1

Hence , - 4ac = 1

a) 1 ⠀b) - 1 ⠀c) 2 ⠀d) - 2

\underline{\sf Answer:}

⠀⠀⌬ a = 6

⠀⠀⌬ b = 7

⠀⠀⌬ c = 2
