Calculation:

  • The two resistances are in parallel combination.

So, net resistance will be :

 \dfrac{1}{R}  =  \dfrac{1}{10}  +  \dfrac{1}{10}

 \implies \dfrac{1}{R}  =  \dfrac{2}{10}

 \implies \dfrac{1}{R}  =  \dfrac{1}{5}

 \implies R= 5 \: ohm

Now, current in circuit :

 \therefore \: i =  \dfrac{V}{R}

 \implies \: i =  \dfrac{2}{5}

 \implies \: i =  0.4 \: amp

So, current in circuit is 0.4 Amperes.
