i) sin30°+cos²30°

=1/2+(1/√3)²

=1/2+1/3

=(3+2)/6

=5/6

ii)sec²45°-tan²45°

=(√2)²-1²

=2-1

=1

iii) cosec²60°-cot²60°

=(2/√3)²- (1/√3)²

=4/3-1/3

=(4-1)/3

=3/3

=1
