Given,

The quadratic equation is kx^2-14x+8 = 0

Root of the quadratic equation is 2.

substitute 2 in the place of x.

k (2)^2-14 (2)+8 = 0

k (4)-28+8 = 0

4k -20 = 0

4k = 20

k = 20/4

k = 5

therefore the value of k is 5.
