Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

For a quadratic equation to have equal roots

b^2 -4ac = 0

Here a = k, b = -2k, c = -k

So (-2k)^2 - 4 × k × (-k) =0

4k^2 +4k^2 =0

8k^2 =0

k =0

Note, you may like to check the question again as this value of k seems to be invalid.

khushi2504: thnks but I too got the same answer...and therefore I asked this question here...bcz the value
khushi2504: anyways..thnks for ur help
rehanjalees: Welcome
khushi2504: uk wht...its is correct:-D
