kx(x-2)+6=0
Implies, kx^2-2kx+6=0. .....(1)
Now, let the roots be a and a.
Therefore, the factors are (x-a) and (x-a).
Hence, (x-a)(x-a) = x^2-ax-ax+a^2 = x^2-2ax+a^2.
Compare this with (1).
So, it can be found that the value of k is 1.
