2x²+ kx + 3 =0

if roots are equal then alpha = beta,beta= alpha

Alpha + beta = - k /2

alpha + alpha = - k/2

2alpha = -k/2

alpha = -k /4

_______

alpha × beta = 3/2

alpha ² = 3/2

(-k/4)² = 3/2

k² /16 = 3/2

2k² = 48

k²= 24

k = √ 24

or

k is 4.8

or

k is 2√ 6
