Find the value of k for which the polynomial x^3-4x^2+2x+k has 3 as its zero

Given, x^3-4x^2+2x+k

 p(3) = 0

           = 3^3 - 4(3)^2 + 2 * 3 + k
 
           = 27 - 36 + 6 + k

           = -9 + 6 + k

           = -3 + k

       k = 3.
