Answer

Value of k

f (x)=x2+kx+3 =0 => f (1) =1+k+3=0

=> f (1) = k+4=0=>f (1) = k= - 4 .

Therefore the required polynomial will be

x^2 - 4x+3=0 .

Find the other root

f (x) =x^2 - 4x+3=0

=> x^2- 3x-x +3=0

=> x (x-3) -( x-3)=0

=> (x-3)(x-1)=0

Therefore , the other roots are 3 and 1 .
