f(x) = 4x³ +3x²+k

If (x-1) is a factor of of f(x)

Then x=1 , f(1)=0

So,

f(1) = 0 \\ 4 \times  {1}^{3}  + 3 \times  {1}^{2}  + k = 0 \\ 4 + 3 + k = 0 \\ 7 + k = 0 \\ k =  - 7

hope it will help u☺️

Answer:

-7

Step-by-step explanation:

x-1 is a factor of p(x)

so, zeros of x-1=1

then,

p(x)=0

4x^3+3x^2+ k =0

4*1^3+3*1^2+k=0

4+3+k=0

7+k=0

k=-7
