Find the value of k if x-1 is a factor of kx²+kx -6​

Answer:

x - 1 = 0

x = 1

p(x) = kx^2 + kx - 6

p(1) = k(1)^2 + k(x) - 6

= k + k - 6

= 2k - 6

2k - 6 = 0

k = 6/2

k = 3
