put x-1=0 thus X=1
put X=1 in x²+X+k=0
p(1)=1²+1+k=0
thus k=-2

Answer:

the answer is -2

Step-by-step explanation:

we have g(x) = x-1 =0

                     =x = 1

x ^ 2 + x + k = 0

( 1)^2 + (1) + K = 0

1 + 1 + k = 0

2 + k = 0

K = -2
