Find the value of k if x-1is factor of x square +x+k

x-1 = 0

x = 1

1 Sqaure + 1 +k = 0

1 + 1 + k = 0

2+k = 0

k = -2

P(x)=x^2++x+k

Substituting the value of x=1 if x-1 is a factor

=(1)^2+1+k=1+1+k

=2+k =k=-2.
