Find the value of k if x-2 is factor of p(x)=2x^3-6x^2+5x+k.

2x³-6x²+5x+k=0
2×8-6×4+5×2+k=0
16-24+10+k=0
k=-2

given,

x-2 =0
hence x = 2

now put value of x =2 in equation,
