Find the value of k if x=2 is the zero of polynomial p(x)=x^3+kx+2k

X = 2



p ( x ) = X³ + KX + 2K



P (2) = (2)³ + K × 2 + 2K




=> 8 + 2K + 2K = 0




=> 4K = -8



=> K = -2

Given :-

X = 2

P(2) = 2^3 + k × 2 + 2k

P(2) = 8 + 2k + 2k

➡️ 8 + 4k

➡️ - 8 = 4k

➡️ k = - 2
