Find the value of k if x-3 is a factor of kx^2 + 3kx - k

f(x)=kx^2+3kx-k
It is given that x-3 is a factor of f(x)
hence,x=3
put x=3 in f(x)
f(3)=k(3)^2+3k(3)-k
Since x-3 is a factor of f(x)
0=9k+9k-k
17k=0
k=0
Hope it helps you...
