Find the value of k , If x-3 is a factor of p(x)=kx2 - x - 15

Here is ur answer :

P(x) = kx² - x - 15

G(x) = x - 3

x = 3

P(x) = 0

Because x-3 is a factor of P(x)


P(x) = kx² - x - 15


P(3) = k(3)² - 3 - 15

0 = 9k - 18

18 = 9k

18/9= k

2= k

Therefore, value of k is 2.
