Hey friend ..!! here's your answer
_________________________

if x = 3/2

2x^2 + kx - 12 =0

put the value of x in polynomial

2(3/2)^2 + k(3/2) -12 =0
18/4 + 3k / 2 - 12 =0
18 + 6k -12 =0
6k + 6 = 0
6k = -6
k = -1

So that the value of k is -1
