Find the value of k such that the difference between the zeroes of x^2 - 5x + 3(k-1) is 11

Hi let's solve your problem.

Sum of zeroes is given as -b/a = 5
And difference between zeroes is 11.
Now by solving the pair of the linear equations we get that zeroes are 8 and -3.

Now product of zeroes is - 24.
And product of zeroes is also c/a.
So,3(k-1)=-24
And so k=-7.

That is your answer.
