Answer:

x+2is factor

sox=-2

p(-2)=2x^3+kx^2+x-10

0=2(-2)^3 + k(-2)^2+(-2)-10

0=2 ×-8+k×4 -12

0=-16+4k-12

0=-28+4k

0+28=4k

28/4=k

7=k

Step-by-step explanation:

We have, x +2 is a factor of 2x³+kx²+x-10.

So, x = -2

Now, on putting the value of x, We get

≈ 2(-8) +4k+(-2)-10 = 0

≈ -16+4k-2-10 = 0

≈ 4k-28 = 0

≈ 4k = 28

≈ k = 7
