Find the value of m if a ⃗ = 5i ⃗ – m j ⃗ and b ⃗ = 10 i ⃗ + 6 (j ) ⃗ are parallel to each other.

b=10 i+6 j
a//b
so
b=K(a).....eqn i
also
b=10I+6j
=2(5i+3j)....eqn II
equating e'en I and II
2(5I+3j)=K(a)
we get
K=2
