Find the value of ‘m’ if (x+3) is a factor of x^3 - x^2 + mx + 69

Answer: UR REQUIRED ANSWER ;-

let p(x) = x³ - mx² + x + 6

If x + 3 is a factor of p(x) then ,

p(-3) = 0

then ,

⇒ p(-3) = (-3)³ - m (-3)² + (-3) +6

⇒ -27 -m × 9 -3 +6

⇒ -27 - 9m + 3

⇒ -9m = 24

⇒ m = -24 /9

⇒ m = - 8/3
